Community Potluck events are held on the second Wednesday of the month, from 6-8 p.m., during the school year in the multipurpose room at Theodore Judah Elementary (101 Dean Way in Folsom). From 6-7 p.m., we enjoy a meal together. From 7-8 p.m. the children stay in the multipurpose room to engage in a fun activity, and the parents head over to the STARS room to participate in a parent education class.
This is a fun and relaxed way to get to know the volunteers, staff and families involved in Folsom’s Hope programs. Bring your family, bring a dish to share, and be ready to have fun!
Please note that children must attend with a parent or guardian.
Our Potluck schedule and related announcements are posted on our Facebook page. Feel free to contact Salwa Kasabian for more details. We hope to see you there!
A Volunteer's Perspective
I have had the blessing to be a part of the Folsom’s Hope Community Potlucks for over 3 years. The potlucks taught me more than I ever taught any child -- I learned that setting aside just a couple hours a week to help create fun and joy for others, is NEEDED and very much appreciated by the families. The blessings far outweighed the time commitment. The relationships that began at the potlucks are still growing today, not just for myself but for my entire family!
